Why are there so many Americans working in IT?

In the wake of a spate of data breaches, a growing number of Americans are finding themselves on the front lines of the cyber-security war, and working in a tech industry where many are looking for a more lucrative and rewarding career path.

Here are the main reasons why.

US tech workers are now the fastest-growing group in the workforce, growing from 8.5 per cent in 2012 to 11.3 per cent by 2019.

It is estimated that by 2025 there will be around 4.5 million Americans working at a company that has at least some cyber security expertise, according the IFR.

This growth is largely due to the influx of IT workers from abroad, and the fact that some are moving into technology roles within the US.

However, a report published by the Federation of American Scientists found that many Americans do not understand their role in cybersecurity and how it can be addressed, and this could be putting them at risk.

The report, entitled The Cybersecurity Jobs Boom: What Is It?, was released earlier this month.

It found that in the last decade, there has been a rapid increase in IT workers in the US, with a significant rise in the number of IT employees working for non-profits and public companies, which are also known as “large companies”.

There are now nearly 10 million IT workers worldwide, the report found.

But according to IT worker advocates, there are serious concerns that these positions could be in danger of becoming the next IT boom, as their salaries are low and they have no experience in the field.

“The US has a massive amount of IT infrastructure and people, but there is a real lack of education in IT, and that is leading to a lot of people coming into the field who are not necessarily qualified or have a technical background,” says Michelle Schaffer, president of the Association of Women Engineers, a non-profit that advocates for women in the IT field.

The organisation says that the US workforce is only growing by 10 per cent annually, and there are only two of the top 10 IT companies in the world, according with Cisco Systems.

“There are some concerns around what’s happening with the IT industry in the United States and the opportunities for people who are coming in,” Ms Schaffer says.

“I think the workforce is still really young.

We’ve had this massive increase in the past couple of decades, and it’s going to take us a while to get to the level where we’re going to have a lot more people coming in.”

The report found that there are a number of factors that are contributing to this, including: a large number of young people entering the field and entering careers that are less structured and structured to deal with a high risk environment, and are often in positions where they have limited experience in cybersecurity.

“It’s not just a young person coming into IT and doing the best job they can, but also a whole bunch of younger people, because we’re all still learning about the technology, we’re still learning how to build a network, we are all learning how not to use it, but we’re learning how this works,” Ms Schieffer says.

Ms Schacher says that while some of the concerns are understandable, the majority of these young people are being given an unrealistic expectation of their skills, and have not done the research necessary to understand the risks and the implications of what they are doing.

“These are the people that have to do the training,” she says.

One of the biggest issues, she says, is the lack of communication between the US and the rest of the world about cybersecurity, and how to address the growing cybersecurity threat.

“We don’t have an infrastructure in place in the country, which is why we are in the position we are,” Ms Dyer says.

The IFR report suggests that the industry needs to focus on educating its workforce and creating opportunities to provide skills to help them better understand the security threats that are emerging.

“This is a job for everyone, not just for those in IT,” Ms Iffer says, adding that there needs to be more emphasis on training workers on the importance of using their IT skills to protect against cyberattacks.

“One of the things that is really important is to create a culture of safety in the workplace,” she adds.

“For many of these workers, this is their only job.”

Ms Schager agrees, and says there is an opportunity to address some of these issues.

“If you look at a lot on cybersecurity, a lot is tied to the IT infrastructure, and we need to think about where those infrastructure investments are going to be and what they can be used for,” she explains.
