The Springfield Bulldogs will play their first home game of the season tonight, October 4, against the Collingwood Crows.

Springfield’s season is officially underway.

The Bulldogs are the first team in the AFL to win at least eight games in a season since Collingwoods inaugural season in the 2009-10 season.

They will face the Crows, who will be without their premiership player, Ben Lennon, for the first time in 12 months.

The Springfield club is also set to host the AFL All-Australian side for the second time this year.

The Eagles are currently eighth in the competition and sit at No.3 after their clash with Hawthorn on Saturday night.

They host Carlton at Adelaide Oval tonight, September 25, before taking on Geelong at the MCG on Thursday night.

West Coast has now won nine games in their last 10 games, and is the only team to have won 10 or more games in all eight of the clubs recent seasons.

The Cats are currently the only unbeaten team in AFL history.

They have won five of their last six matches, and have played the most games in the league this season.

Carlton is a strong contender for the Western Bulldogs’ first ever premiership, while the Eagles are still battling for the spot in the finals.
